= Gender and Dynamics =
[[genetics|Biologically]], gender and dynamics are the same thing. For [[historical|history]] and [[cultural|culture]] reasons, they're seen as separate.

Biological gender includes the set of features that develop at birth and through puberty. Biological dynamic includes those features that develop around [[presentation]]. Both are connected to sexual, physical, and emotional development.

The three recognized genders are - '''male''', '''female''', and '''epicene'''. The three recognized dynamics are - '''alpha''', '''beta''', and '''omega'''. Both [[trans|transgender]] and [[trans|transdynamic]] people exist, but being transgender is much more accepted in most English-speaking cultures than being transdynamic.

== Epicenes ==
About a third of kids are biologically epicene, meaning they have genitalia that is between male and female - either having dual genitals (both vagina and penis), or ambiguous genitals (a urethral groove that may not develop labia, with the whole genital area being mostly smooth). Even more have a shallow vagina and something between a clitoris and a penis. Most kids are raised as a common gender, even if they do have clearly male or female genitalia. However, only around 6% of the population will stay biologically epicene through adulthood. 'Strong' Epicenes may go through a puberty that mixes elements of Earth's male and female experience, even if they end up biologically male or female. 'Weak' Epicenes may go through minimal puberty, and retain an androgynous, childlike appearance. Historically, Epicene alphas were considered male, and epicene omegas were considered female. There are no biological epicene betas.
== Alphas ==
Alphas are usually able to sire children, and have [[ruts]]. Stereotypes include them being natural leaders, having heightened aggression, and having stronger [[pheromones|scents]] than other dynamics.

Betas are usually able to make multiple [[bond|pack bonds]], rather than the single [[bond|mating bond]] of alphas and omegas. Stereotypes include them being more unstable/likely to go [[feral]], more natural as peacemakers, more independent, more reliant on others and on having bonds, having 'less attractive' [[scents|pheromones]], and having weaker senses of smell.
== Omegas ==
Omegas are usually able to conceive and carry children, and have [[heats|heats]]. Stereotypes include them being quieter, having more parental instincts, having milder [[pheromones|scents]], and being physically weaker than other dynamics. Omegas are also known to create bedding structures known as [[nests|nests]].
